YouCan Ireland Open Day in Cuisle Centre

I am Portlaoise born and bred but I am also the secretary of YouCan Ireland, the nationwide cancer support network for young adults who have received a cancer diagnosis in their 20s, 30s and 40s. We are in the process of registering as a charity with the Chairty Regulatory Authority. YouCan Ireland is holding an Open Day in the Cuisle Cancer Support Centre on May 28th from 2pm to 5pm and we would really like to spread the word as much as we can so that whoever would like to attend the Open Day knows about it.
YouCan Ireland was founded in February 2015 by a group of volunteers who themselves have been diagnosed with cancer as young adults and who wished they had somewhere to turn when they heard the words ‘you have cancer’. YouCan Ireland is supported by the Irish Cancer Society and St. Luke’s Hospital, Rathgar and is in the process of registering as a charity with the Charity Regulatory Authority.

Cuisle Centre hosting YouCan Ireland Open Day

As we are a nationwide support network and want to be accessible to young adults in all parts of the country, YouCan Ireland is travelling around Ireland, hosting open days in cancer support centres nationwide during 2016.

We will be hosting our next open day in Cuisle Cancer Support Centre on Saturday May 28th from 2pm-5pm. There will be a guest speaker, discussing issues experienced by young adults who have or have had cancer. It will also be an opportunity to meet the YouCan Ireland team and other young adults who have experienced a cancer diagnosis.

We at YouCan Ireland would really appreciate if you could spread the word of the open day so that the word reaches anyone who may be interested in attending, or even their friends or families so that they can pass on the word.

All of the YouCan Ireland team know what it is like to receive a cancer diagnosis. We have been in the position of having cancer as someone in their 20s, 30s or 40s. For more information on YouCan Ireland, we can be emailed or found on social media.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Kind regards,
Hollie-Louise O’Donoghue
