Further glorious spells of sunshine in many parts of Leinster, Ulster and North Connacht today, however cloudier conditions with some mist and light rain is affecting parts of Munster and Southwest Connacht in particular. Afternoon highs of up to 19 degrees Celsius under sunny skies, just 14 degrees in the cloudier locations.

Cloud will be countrywide for a time tomorrow with the risk of some isolated heavy showers sparking off in the afternoon. Some sunny spells will develop, initially across the south and southeast but becoming a little more widespread tomorrow afternoon and evening. Highs tomorrow of up to 20 degrees Celsius.

Drier and sunnier across the country on Friday with all areas seeing some pleasant spells of warm sunshine. Just the outside risk of an afternoon shower. Highs on Friday of up to 21 degrees Celsius in some areas.

Continuing dry and sunny on Saturday morning, though cloud will bubble up during the early afternoon with a risk of some heavy showers or isolated thunderstorms breaking out across the Midlands and inland Munster during the afternoon and evening. Highs of up to 20 degrees Celsius.

Much cooler and fresher Sunday as winds switch to a northerly direction. Remaining dry and sunny for many however with the settled conditions set to remain in place for all of next week also.
