The good news this morning is that our weather is set to become dry, settled and sunny for many through next week as our winds switch to a southeasterly direction and we draw in much warmer air once more from the continent. In the meantime today looks to begin wet and overcast in the east and northeast of the country, with sunshine and showers extending countrywide from the west.

Weather shaping up to be really good for later in the weekend
Tomorrow Friday looks set to be rather showery, with moderate northwesterly winds feeding in heavy showers, with a risk of some thunder in parts of the northeast and east of the country, drier and brighter further south and west with less wind also. Highs of 12-14 degrees Celsius.
Warming up somewhat over the weekend with a good deal of dry and bright weather, especially away from the south coast where conditions will remain somewhat disappointingly cloudy. Elsewhere in any sunny breaks temperatures will climb to between 16-19 degrees Celsius.
