Further falls of snow are likely in parts of Connacht, West Ulster, and some Midland areas overnight, as heavy wintry showers continue to push in from the Atlantic. Some longer spells of snow may develop in some parts of Connacht and West Ulster, with additional falls of snow of up to 5 cm are possible before morning.
Elsewhere some snow showers are possible overnight, though any amounts are likely to be small. Dangerous driving conditions will develop countrywide however as temperatures drop to -2 or -3 in some places with ice developing on any untreated road surfaces.
