
Travel Advice for Pope’s visit

With high volumes of crowds expected we would like to ensure that our customers are aware of the road closures located near the M50 toll. Closures will be put in place along the east of the M50 between and including the N3, N4 and N7; North of the N7 and Grand Canal; South and West of the N2 to Cross Guns Bridge and west of O’Connell Street.

An Garda Síochána are advising people not to drive and to use public transport and private coaches (for public transport information click TfI – Transport options and service)
Special Park & Ride hubs for this event have been created at the Leopardstown Racecourse (Luas), UCD Belfield (Dublin Bus), Maynooth University (train) and Fairyhouse Racecourse. Drivers can park their car at these locations and then take public transport to and from the event. ( For further information on park and ride sites click TfI – Closing Mass)
An Garda Síochána have advised that cars will not be permitted to enter a secure cordon around Dublin City, starting at the M50 from 6am to 11pm on Sunday 26th August. Junction 6 (N3), Junction 7 (N4) and Junction 9 (N7 Red Cow) will be closed to inbound car traffic traveling to the city.
