The rather mixed conditions looks set to remain in place tomorrow across the country with overcast weather forecast countrywide. Outbreaks of showery rain are likely in North Connacht and West Ulster, along with much of West Munster. Elsewhere there will be some drier interludes across the Midlands, Southeast and East of the country. Highs of between 16-17 degrees Celsius.
Conditions will improve somewhat on Wednesday with drier brighter weather developing. Some showers are likely, with possibly heavy showers in parts of the east of the country on Wednesday afternoon and evening. Best of the weather will be father to the west. Highs of between 17-18 degrees Celsius.
Thursday will be the best day of the week with good sunny spells in all areas and mostly light winds. This is due to a ridge of high pressure. Feeling pleasant in the sunshine with highs reaching up to 20 degrees Celsius in the southeast of the country.
Friday begins dry and bright, but outbreaks of rain will spread from the west, with some heavy bursts possible for a time along northwestern coastal counties. Elsewhere the rain will be mostly light and patchy in nature. Freshening southwesterly winds will make it feel cool. Highs of up to 19 degrees Celsius.
Saturday looks like the best day of the weekend with mostly dry conditions overall. Some light showers are possible, though they will be well scattered. Some sunny spells may break through in parts. Highs of up to 17-18 degrees Celsius.
Easy morning rain clears to the east on Sunday leaving a mostly overcast day with some showers. Fresh and gusty winds are likely, with a risk of gales along exposed Atlantic coastlines. Highs of between 17-18 degrees Celsius.
