Timahoe Foróige Club Volunteers attend updated Child Protection Training
Four Timahoe Foróige club Volunteers were among the twenty adult volunteers to complete their updated Child Protection Training run by Foróige as part of their upskilling and continued commitment to volunteering with the young people of the Timahoe Community.
Club leader Caroline spoke of the course and its content; “Its always important to stay on top of the changes in legislation and this course is very interactive and informative”
The welfare of the child is of utmost importance and this course highlights all the supports that are available to young people, families, volunteers and communities. If you would like to know more of to become involved with the Timahoe Foróige club the volunteers encourage you to drop in and see how the Foróige club and you can benefit from your involvement.
Nayane reflected on the importance of the training and the supports available; “All our new volunteers are required to do this training as the course is there to help inform us of the expectations that are upon us thanks to the changes in the law, but also to inform us the levels of support made available to us from our support organisation Foróige and the Foróige staff in the region”
