This Week’s Weather
Laois People forecasts courtesy of

Our weather is looking very favourable for the remainder of this week as mostly dry and sunny conditions develop across the country. This is due to a large anticyclone which is expected to become almost stationary across Ireland and the UK for the remainder of this week and into the weekend also.
Our days will be largely dry and sunny, with conditions feeling particularly pleasant due to the combination of the direct sunshine and light winds. Our nights will be cold however with frost returning each night due to the clear skies. Some icy patches may develop on some wet surfaces so caution is advised.
While it’s still a considerable distance away it’s interesting to note that the models seem to be indicating the development of some possibly very cold conditions towards the end of November, with a risk of some wintry precipitation. This pattern is rather typical of a winter during which a moderate to strong La Niña develops.
Time will tell as to whether this projected cold spell develops, however the signs are encouraging for those of you would like to see cold and possibly snowy conditions.
Further updates to following during the course of the week.
With kindest regards,
Cathal Nolan
