— Temperatures will average 1 to 2 deg above normal, but mild nights will get most of that done, so daytime readings may be closer to average.
— Rainfall will average 50 to 75 per cent above normal, with some rather heavy rainfalls expected later in the period.
— Sunshine will average 50 to 75 per cent of normal values.

A look at the week’s weather
TUESDAY will see a similar cycle of morning dry intervals and afternoon showers, highs near 21 C.
WEDNESDAY will be partly cloudy with a few showers and slightly cooler with lows near 10 C and highs near 19 C.
THURSDAY could have a brief dry interval with rain spreading north during the afternoon and evening, becoming heavy. Highs near 20 C.
FRIDAY will bring outbreaks of heavy and possibly thundery rain with warm, humid conditions and highs near 21 C.

What has the weather got in store for upcoming festivals?
SATURDAY is then expected to become rather windy with partly cloudy skies and passing showers, highs near 18 C.
SUNDAY will be cloudy with a few showers and highs near
18 C.
The outlook remains unsettled for the week following, then slight improvements later in August.
