The match was reduced to 38 overs due to a damp pitch. Laois won the toss and batted first and posted a competitive 255. A captain’s innings by R.Meraj of 74 and a quick fire 64 by P.Blackley were the pick of the batsmen. Merrion started of well and looked as though they were going comfortable until tight bowling by A.Smit and U.Raees tied Merrion up.
