‘Laois’ first team travelled to Merrion last Sunday. A very tight low scoring game but unfortunately Laois Lost by 7 runs.

The second team played Adams town at home. Laois batted first and, after a steady start, the middle order batsman put on a display of batting. Faisal Khalid 67 not out, Salman Shahid 42 and an ever youthful Iain Woodward with a blistering unbeaten 21 to finish the innings for Laois.

Adamstown batting in a very fairly played game, were under pressure from the start, needing 180 to win in 20 overs.

Very tight, restrictive Laois bowling had the visitors all out for 73. Man of the match, for a superb all-round performance, Faisal Khalid.’
