CCFL Over 35’s Cup Semi-Final Result:

Inny FC 0-2 Stradbally Town

Stradbally Town’s veterans progressed to a first Cup final in their first season together with a 2-0 win away in Westmeath this evening. The first half was a tense enough affair with the score 0-0 at the break. Stradbally came to life in second half but had to wait till 10 minutes from the end for Ken Guiden to volley them ahead. The win was made certain with 2 minutes to go when Ray Mullally caught the Inny keeper off his line and finished spectacularly from 40 yards out. The Stradbally lads will now meet either Mullingar Town or Mullingar Athletic who meet in the other Semi-Final tonight. The final is down for next Saturday evening August 22nd with the venue to be confirmed.
