Portlaoise St. Patrick’s Day Parade News

 Portlaoise St. Patrick’s Day Parade is looking for participants.

The theme of the Parade/Festival this year will be 1916. The plan this year is to hold the parade after the race from 12p.m. and continue the festive event up until 4.30p.m with some great family entertainment after the parade on the main street.

”We need to get moving if a Parade is going to happen in Portlaoise in 2016 – we need volunteers for many different roles, we need groups, clubs and organizations to take part, we need music, we need people to dress up, we need sponsors, we need help if the parade 1916 is going to happen in PORTLAOISE”.

Make sure the Portlaoise parade in on by volunteering!

“Please think about what part you can play and let us know asap. We also need volunteers to dress as various characters to make the parade colorful and a great family day out.’’

“We have many companies and volunteers already on-board. The organisers are looking for schools, clubs and organisations to participate in the festival. We need floats for the parade and we can help with ideas. We want the parade to be entertaining, fun and colourful and we can only do this with the help of the Laois community”
