PLOUGHING CHAMPIONSHIPS FORECAST – Mostly dry, some sunshine and mild…
TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 23: Overcast at first with some drizzle. Becoming dry and brighter in the early afternoon with a few sunny spells. Cloud will increase once more this evening with some showery light rain possible later this evening. Mild with highs of 15c to 17c in light W breezes. OVERNIGHT: Overcast with scattered outbreaks of rain, generally light. Lows of 9c to 11c in a light to moderate westerly breeze. Any rain should have cleared by dawn.
WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 24: Cloudy at first with perhaps some drizzle, but conditions will quickly improve and sunny spells will develop. Light NW breezes. Highs of 16c to 18c. OVERNIGHT: Cool and clear for a time, but cloud will increase during the night and some patchy drizzle or light rain possible, again amounts small if any. Lows of 7c to 9c for a time, but rising with the arrival of cloud cover. Winds W will back SW and freshen later.
THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 25: Generally cloudy, but holding by-and-large dry. Winds from the SW will freshen. Highs of 16c to 18c. OVERNIGHT: Remaining cloudy with rain and drizzle developing later in the night. Continuing breezy from the SW. Lows of 10c to 12c.
FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 26: Cloudy with rain and drizzle to begin, this will quickly clear to sunny spells. Highs of 17c to 19c. Winds, fresh SW will ease and back W with the clearance of rain and drizzle. OVERNIGHT: Dry, mostly clear and turning cool with lows of 6c to 8c in a light W breeze.
WEEKEND OUTLOOK: The bulk of the weekend should be fine and dry. Highs each day will reach into the high teens with just a light west to SW airflow. The nights will be cool with lows in the mid to high single figures. Later on Sunday, cloud increases from the west with winds increasing light to moderate ahead of a band of rain due on Sunday night.
