People First Credit Union to Host Green Energy Information Event in Portlaoise

Special Green Energy Event in Portlaoise to be hosted by People First Credit Union

People First Credit Union is inviting members and the wider community to attend a special Green Energy Event at its Portlaoise branch on Friday, 26th June, from 11:30am to 1:30pm.

The free event will provide practical information on solar power, home energy upgrades, and SEAI grants, helping homeowners and businesses explore ways to reduce energy costs and improve energy efficiency.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Laurence O’Reilly, Laois representative for the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), who will discuss available grants and supports for energy upgrades. Representatives from Infinite Energy will also be on hand to explain solar panel installations, battery storage systems, and EV charging solutions.

People First Credit Union’s lending team will be available throughout the event to discuss Green Loan options designed to help finance renewable energy projects and home improvements.

Sean Dunne, CEO of People First Credit Union, said the event reflects the credit union’s commitment to supporting sustainable development within the community.

“At People First Credit Union, we want to help our members make the move to greener, more energy-efficient homes. Through our Green Energy Loan, we’re providing affordable finance that can help families and businesses invest in renewable energy, reduce their energy bills, and contribute to a more sustainable future for our community.“

People First Credit Union is encouraging anyone interested in renewable energy and energy-saving home improvements to attend and learn more about the supports and financing options available.
