HIGH NELLY: Derrinlough to Durrow:
On Saturday and Sunday August 29th and 30th nearly thirty people took part in the High Nelly Heritage Cycle from Derrinlough to Durrow (in the ”Wheelrims” of William Bulfin (1864-1910). There was a large crowd to welcome them to Durrow as well as two direct decendents of the Great William Bulfin, Jack and Mary. This journey retraces one of William Bulfin, “Rambles in Eirinn” journeys and when he came to Durrow he describes it “A Gem in the Basin of the Nore”. Well done to everyone who took on the two day challenge and to Hughie Sheppard and Team for organising this event.
