Safe Talk
What is Safe Talk? Safe Talk is a 3.5hr “suicide alertness” programme that prepares participants to identify and engage with persons who may be having thoughts of suicide. Participants also learn how to provide practical help by using the steps of TALK (Tell, Ask, Listen & Keepsafe) and gain information on the supports & resources available locally, regionally & nationally. This is a fantastic free resource & the training is suitable for everybody (certificate will be given on completion). If you wish to attend on Thursday March 10 9.30am – 1pm in the Portarlington Community Centre.

Dancing continues every Monday night in The Gandon Inn, from 9.30pm to 11.30pm in aid of Portarlington St V de Paul. March 7-Unity. March 14-Derek Veale. March 21-The Ranchers. Come along for a great night out. Admission €7. All welcome.

Portarlington St Vincent de Paul Charity shop are holding a Sale from Thursday March 3 on all items in stock. All good quality ladies, gents & children’s wear. Also furniture, shoes & a large selection of books. A raffle will also take place in the coming weeks from Thursday March 3. A large selection of Easter Hampers for raffle. Tickets can be bought in the shop at €1 each. Please support. All money raised goes back in to the Community.
