KILBRIDE ART GROUP:

The Gallery at Mountmellick Library is delighted to host an exhibition of work by the Kilbride Art group beginning on Tuesday evening 4th July. All are welcome to come and view the works by various artists. The exhibition will run until Thursday 27th July.

 

SUMMER EVENTS AT YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY:

Due to the high demand for the summer craft activities Mountmellick library will be having an upcycling craft morning suitable for 7-9 year olds on Friday July 21st 2.30-4.30 pm. We will be using recyclable materials to build a craft robot and jet pack! Places are limited so call 0578644572 to reserve a spot!

PARENTS OF PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN:

Children who don’t read during the summer can lose up to two months of learning by the time they return to school in September. This can be prevented by registering for the summer reading challenge in your local library. It’s free and your child will get rewards for reading 8 books over the summer!

 

CHESS CLUB:

Junior Chess Club will be on in Mountmellick library on Saturday July 29th 10.30 – 11.30am for ages 7 – 13. If interested call 0578644572 to book a place or call into Mountmellick Library.

 

BABY BOOK CLUB:

Would you like to introduce your baby or young child to books and the love of reading? Baby Book Club will be in Mountmellick Library on Tuesday 25th from 11am – 12 for babies from 0 – 18 months and their parents and siblings. Further dates to be decided! Socialise with other children and babies, listen to rhymes, sing along and pick up reading tips! If interested call 0578644572 or call into Mountmellick Library.
