FREE DR. EDDIE MURPHY TALK:
There will be a talk by Dr Eddie Murphy, Clinical Psychologist as seen on Operation Transformation on “Building Resilience and Tackling Everyday Challenges” in Mountmellick Library on Tuesday 13th February at 7.30 p.m. Call 0578644572 to let us know you’re coming! This talk focuses on the area of mental fitness and the things to do to keep us well and tools for stress management and wellness.
The talk is part of Healthy Ireland at your library initiative.
YOGA FOR KIDS:
As part of the Healthy Ireland at your library initiative there will be “An Introduction to Yoga for Kids” workshop with Oonagh Hoey in Mountmellick Library on Thursday 15th February at 12 noon. Participants need to be 9-12 years of age. Yoga Mats will be supplied and kids are to wear comfortable clothing. Spaces are limited so call 0578644572 if interested.
FOCAL AR FHOCAL:
Free 6 week course for beginners in Irish or if you want to be able to help with your children’s homework in Mountmellick Library. Starting Thursday 8th February 10.30-11.30 a.m. Call 0578644572 if interested!
VALENTINE’S CRAFTS:
Parent and child drop in Valentine’s crafts in Mountmellick Library on Tuesday 13th February from 10.00a.m. onwards! Just drop in no need to book!
BABY BOOK CLUB:
The Club is now on every Tuesday morning in Mountmellick Library.Would you like to introduce your baby or young child to books and the love of reading? Baby Book Club in Mountmellick Library is for babies from 0 – 18 months and their parents and siblings. Socialise with other children and babies, listen to rhymes, sing along and pick up reading tips!
ADULT COLOURING GROUP:
This group meets every Thursday morning from 10.30 a.m. on in Mountmellick Library. All are welcome and tea and coffee are provided.
ADULT CHESS CLUB:
The adult chess club has started on Saturday mornings at 12 in Mountmellick Library. If you are interested in joining please ring 0578644572 and let us know!
JUNIOR CHESS CLUB:
The next meeting of the Junior Chess Club will be on Saturday 27th January at 10.30 a.m. for ages 7 – 13 years. Basic knowledge required.
