IRISH QUILTER’S SHOWCASE:
Mountmellick Library presents Irish Quilters’ third exhibition, “North South East West”. This exhibition launches National Quilting Week Ireland. This textile exhibition features 13 quilts by invited Textile Artists living in Ireland. In addition there will be on display a collection of Limerick Prison Quilts. These quilts are created by students in the Art and Craft class, Limerick Prison, which is taught by Paula Rafferty. Many students make quilts to donate to Heart Children Ireland and other local charities. Official opening of exhibition by Paula Rafferty on Tuesday 5thSeptember at 7 p.m. in Mountmellick Library. All are welcome. The quilt exhibition will be open to all during library opening hours until 28th September.
JUNIOR CHESS CLUB:
The Junior Chess Club will be starting back on Saturday 9th September from 10.30 a.m to 11.30 a.m. for ages 7-13 years of age. All are welcome but knowledge of basic chess moves is necessary.
ADULT CHESS CLUB: Mountmellick Library will be setting up an adult chess club starting in September. If you are interested in joining please ring 0578644572 and let us know!

KEEP CALM AND COLOUR IN: The adult colouring group will continue to meet over the summer on Thursday mornings from 10.30 onwards in Mountmellick Library! Drop in do some colouring and have a cup of tea and coffee and a chat! All are welcome.
