DOGS TRUST ADULT WORKSHOP:
Thinking of getting a dog or puppy, need advice on dog care or training, want to make sure you’re meeting your dog’s needs? Education Officer, Paul Cleary and his dog, Magic will be in Mountmellick Library on Wednesday 31st May at 11.00 a.m. for and adult workshop on dogs. Phone 0578644572 for further details.

INVENT A SPELL COMPETITION:
Harry Potter will be 20 years old in June! As part of the celebrations Mountmellick Library will be holding a competition for all ages in the area- “Invent A Spell” -what is the spell, what does it do, how did you make up the wording of the spell? Pick up an entry form in Mountmellick Library- the closing date for entries is Tuesday 27th June. We will have a competition entry box with a display and books in the library to help you create a spell-drop in!
ROOM 19 END OF YEAR EXHIBITION:
The Gallery at Mountmellick Library is delighted to host the end of year exhibition-“Room 19” of the Digital Creative Media Class of Portlaoise Institute of Further Education. All prints are for sale and the exhibition will run until Wednesday 31st May. All are welcome to come and view!
CHESS CLUB:
Junior Chess Club will be on in Mountmellick library on Saturday May 20th and June 17th 10.30 – 11.30am for ages 7 – 13. There will be no junior chess club on the Saturday of the June Bank Holiday weekend. If interested call 0578644572 to book a place or call into Mountmellick Library.
