POETRY EVENING:
Mountmellick Library is hoping to hold an informal evening of poetry readings on Tuesday April 25th at 7.00pm. We are looking for volunteers to read selected poems and anyone who would like to read some of their own work or a poem of their choosing on the theme of poetry connects. EASTER CRAFTS:
Parent and Child Easter Craft table will be on in Mountmellick Library on the mornings of Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th April. Feel free to drop in and make some beautiful crafts!

Easter Basket Collage Craft with Frieda Nel in Mountmellick Library on Wednesday 12th April – 2.30 – 3.15pm for 5 – 7 year olds and 3.30 – 4.15pm for 8 – 10 year olds. Booking is essential as places are limited- call 0578644572 to book a place or drop into Mountmellick Library.
BABY BOOK CLUB:
Would you like to introduce your baby or young child to books and the love of reading? Baby Book Club starting in Mountmellick Library on Tuesday 2nd May from 11am – 12 for babies from 0 – 18 months and their parents and siblings. Further dates to be decided! Socialise with other children and babies, listen to rhymes, sing along and pick up reading tips! If interested call 0578644572 or call into Mountmellick Library.
CHESS CLUB:
Junior Chess Club starting in Mountmellick library on Saturday 22nd April 10.30 – 11.30am for ages 7 – 13. Further dates to be decided! If interested call 0578644572 to book a place or call into Mountmellick Library.
TOM JOYCE EXHIBITION:
Local artist, Tom Joyce’s exhibition, “The Beauty of Water” will be open to the public in Mountmellick Gallery from Tuesday 4th April till Thursday 27th April. Tom has lived in the Slieve Bloom Mountains since 1981 and his work is heavily influenced by his environment.
