DURROW PARISH MASS ON RADIO: Every Saturday night at 8pm the people of the parish can hear and participate in mass being celebrated by Fr. McGree from St. Tighearnach Church Cullohill. Tune into 106.8 FM to listen to the Mass.

CHURCH NEWS: Mass will be celebrated in the Holy Trinity Church, Durrow on Saturday nights at 7pm and on Sundays at 11.30am. With Level Three restrictions only 50 people are allowed to be in the Church for Masses and this means that the side-aisles will not be used. This number will be monitored by Gardaí and once the figure is reached the Door’s will be closed. Canon O’Doherty has arranged the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Mass times: On Christmas Eve there will be a Christmas Mass at 11am. This Mass is open to everyone but we especially want our Senior Citizens, people with medical conditions and their families to come. At the moment the restriction of 50 people allowed to attend at 8pm on Christmas Eve Mass which will be celebrating the birth of Our Lord. On Christmas Morning the Dawn Mass will be celebrated at 9am and the Christmas Day Mass at 11.30am. Have a Happy, Holy, Peaceful and Safe Christmas.

***Appeal for Readers, Cleaners and Eucharistic Ministers: Readers and Cleaners are needed to assist the present group who are doing great work reading at Mass and cleaning the Church weekly in the Holy Trinity Church, Durrow. The rota for Readers is two Masses every six months and the readings are given to you once we receive them in the Church. For more details contact Martin Lawlor who coordinates the readers at (087) 2185839.
The Rota for the cleaners is a couple hours once a week for a month and it reoccurs every four to five months depending on the number of cleaners. The number of cleaners has dropped in the past year and we appeal to anyone who has two hours a week in the morning for a month rota maybe twice a year to contact Angela Drennan or any member of the cleaners to get your name added to the list. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

CHURCH OF IRELAND SERVICES IN DURROW: For the first three Sundays in December (6th, 13th & 20th) there will be a service in St. Fintan’s Church, Durrow at 10.30 am. Christmas Day details to follow. Keep safe. Stay well.

Up until December 2019, phone providers did not include 0818 numbers in free call bundles, however since then, 0818 are included in any ‘free’ call bundles in a caller’s phone contract. ALONE is a member of the National Public Health Emergency COVID-19 Subgroup for Vulnerable People and is managing a national support line for older people with concerns regarding the Coronavirus and COVID-19. The COVID-19 Support Line for Older People ALONE manage a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Professional staff are available to answer queries and give advice and reassurance where necessary. The support line is open seven days a week, 8am – 8pm, by calling 0818 222 024. To date, the ALONE COVID-19 Support Line has received in excess of 38,046 calls for support from vulnerable older people all over the country who need support, advice, or sometimes just reassurance.
