Minor League title heads to Portarlington

Portarlington Minors emerged with a win over Ballylinan/Glenmore in the League Final last Saturday evening at a windy Annanough. Port started well with two first half goals to lead 2-6 to 0-5 at halftime. Ballylinan fought back in the second half,  and with the game poised at 2-8 to 12 points a superb save from wing-back Robert Piggott denied Ballylinan a chance to leave just one point in it. From there Port kicked on to finish  the game 3-12 to 13 point winners. Well done to both team and mentors, who now look forward to the championship. (Text & Photo courtesy of Portarlington GAA.)
