TRENDS … milder in stages, then back to average February temperatures by end of week, up and down in a range of near average to 2-3 above average for later portion of February. Near average amounts of rain are expected and it will be rather cloudy but sunshine will improve by about Sunday-Monday.

TODAY foggy or misty, light rain at times, although cloudy and dry in Ulster; highs near 8 C north, 11 C south.

TONIGHT foggy or misty, light rain at times, lows 5 to 8 C.

WEDNESDAY variable cloud or overcast, mild, showers, and highs near 13 C.

THURSDAY foggy or misty to start, rain at times, partial clearing and mild. Lows near 7 C and highs near 12 C.

FRIDAY showers more isolated, sunny breaks developing, lows near 5 C and highs near 10 C.

SATURDAY rain and mild, highs near 12 C.

SUNDAY and MONDAY look more settled and could bring some pleasant sunny intervals with temperatures around 10 C.

FURTHER OUTLOOK generally more unsettled by Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st, near average temperatures.
