Mid-Week Weather Forecast

UNSETTLED. SHOWERS OF HAIL, SLEET.

If your out and about across the Midlands today you’d certainly be forgiven for thinking it were late February as opposed to late April.
An unstable northerly airflow continues to draw down very cold air from polar regions which unfortunately is set to continue for the remainder of the week.

Showers will continue for a while this evening before retreating back towards the north coast overnight. Cold with a ground frost developing in sheltered areas. Lows of zero to plus three degrees Celsius.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, will be a very showery day with continued hail and sleet showers. Some will be heavy with a risk of some isolated thunderstorms. Cold with highs of 9 or 10 degrees Celsius.
