Co. Laois retailer wins prestigious industry award

A Co Laois forecourt retailer has won a major industry prize at this year’s biggest retail awards ceremony in Ireland.

After undergoing rigorous independent judging, Manor Stone Service Station Ballacolla won the new Motorway Services of the Year prize at the Ireland’s Forecourt & Convenience Retailer Awards.

The event took place on 6 September at the Clayton on Burlington Road, Dublin.

Speaking after claiming the coveted prize the night, Michael Petyt of Manor Stone Service Station Ballacolla said: “It’s amazing to win! This prize however also recognises the effort of the entire team at the site, and the amount of hard work that has contributed to this win tonight.

Set in the Clayton on Burlington Road, Dublin, and hosted by Irish broadcaster Miriam O’Callaghan, the awards – now in their 16th year – celebrated the finest forecourt retailers from across the island.
