Lineup revealed for Portlaoise’s latest Old Fort Quarter Festival

The Old Fort Quarter Festival Unveils Spectacular Lineup for 2024 Edition, Including Family-Friendly Events

The stage is set, the anticipation is palpable, and the lineup for this year’s Old Fort Quarter Festival is nothing short of spectacular! Returning with a bang, this beloved festival promises a weekend of electrifying performances, community spirit, and unforgettable memories.

Set against the historic backdrop of Portlaoise’s Old Fort, this year’s festival boasts an unparalleled lineup that is sure to delight music lovers of all tastes. From local legends to international sensations, the Old Fort Quarter Festival has something for everyone.

Kicking off the festivities on Thursday, June 27th, festival newcomers The Tumbling Paddies will headline, with none other than George Murphy providing support, setting the tone for an epic weekend ahead. Friday, June 28th, sees the return of crowd favorites The Whistlin’ Donkeys, while Sunday, June 30th, promises to end the festival on a high note with the sensational Smash Hits taking center stage.

Saturday, June 29th, is not to be missed, featuring an Oasis tribute by ‘Live Forever’ and a performance by local favorites Pogueology, ensuring a night of non-stop entertainment and sing-along classics.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there! No Old Fort Festival would be complete without our cherished local talent, including the ever-popular Transmitter and The Dooley Brothers, who are sure to bring their signature energy and charm to the stage.

In addition to the incredible lineup, this year’s festival boasts a host of upgrades, including a new permanent roof, a revamped stage, and a commitment to green energy, ensuring a sustainable and environmentally friendly event for all to enjoy.

As a special treat for families, Sunday, June 30th, will feature a range of family-friendly events from 12 noon to 6pm. To celebrate the launch of this year’s lineup, early bird weekend tickets will go on sale on Thursday, May 9th at 1pm. Priced at just €85 for the entire weekend, these tickets offer incredible value for money and are sure to sell out fast. Daily tickets will also be available for €32, making it easier than ever for music fans to experience the magic of the Old Fort Quarter Festival.
