STORM FORCE WINDS & SQUALLY SHOWERS:
Current weather models continue to show a strong Atlantic weather system tracking Eastwards towards northern Scotland. On the Southern flank of this system lies some very strong winds which are set to impact the country overnight tonight and through tomorrow. Wind speeds tomorrow morning may gust to as high as 110 kph in some exposed areas of the Midlands. Gusts of up to 130 kph are likely along west and north western coasts.
These very strong wins will be accompanied by some very heavy squally showers of rain, hail and sleet, with snow likely tomorrow evening over higher ground. There is also the risk of some scattered thunderstorms.
