So it’s that time of year when we get on our bikes, cover them in lights and cycle around the streets of Portlaoise with the big man himself, SANTA.
We have decided to help 3 groups this year. All 3 groups do great work for the County of Laois and beyond.

This year we will be setting off from our main sponsor’s showroom, Joe Mallon Motors on the abbeyleix road, leaving at 17.30. The route is a slow pace 14km, so some fitness is needed.
What you need to do is get yourself (or group) and buy your tickets, collect your suit, decorate, and light up your bikes as much as possible, the more lights the better. Bring gloves for your hands and wear some thermals if you have them. The route is child friendly (10+) and we would encourage families to take part, Local media will be covering the event so Photos will be taken and may be used for promotional purposes.
We also have 2 raffles on the night:
Raffle 1 is our spot prize lucky dip, up to 30 prizes from hampers, cinema tickets to Jigsaws most of these prizes are donated by local businesses, €2 per strip or 3 strips for €5.
Raffle 2 is our Bumper Raffle, the prize this year is An Electric Scooter, Samsung Galaxy Tab7, Samsung Galaxy A22 and a Fitbit, only 1000 tickets available and the winner takes ALL, Tickets are €10.
Tickets are available through Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/light-up…
Tickets for the event and both raffles can also be purchased from any of your friendly neighbourhood Barbacks!
5 mins a day is all it takes and the course is absolutely free BUT you must register on www.beyourbestyou.ie or by email david@beyourbestyou.ie
