Laois Athletics Downeys Suzuki Secondary Schools Track & Field Championships
The “Laois Athletics Downeys Suzuki” Secondary Schools Track and Field Championships takes place on Wednesday next May 8th.
This year Laois Athletics has decided to host the event in the magnificent new Carlow IT Sports Complex. The South Leinster Athletics Championships are being hosted at the same venue, later in the month, and this is a great opportunity for athletes and teachers to get familiar with the location.
Carlow IT Sports Complex is located at the John Tyndall Roundabout on the Kilkenny Road, about 2km from the traffic lights in the town centre. R93 AYW9 is the Eircode.
The Programme of Events comprises Sprint, Middle Distance, Shot Putt, High Jump, Long Jump and Relays.The age-groups are divided into 4 categories, Minor, Junior, Intermediate and Senior.
Students from all eleven Laois Secondary Schools have been invited to attend

The event commences at 10:30am on Wednesday, and will finish in time for students to get back to their respective schools by school closing time.
