Valeo Foods sponsor a set of Under 8 jerseys for Banríon Gaels Camogie Club


SInce their inception Banríon Gaels Camogie Club have trained under the eye of the Odlums Owl at Portarlington GAA Club. The stand alone juvenile club has gone from strength to strength in eight short years with 2021 being a bumper year for memberships at 187.  In Banríon Gaels Camogie Club, the emphasis is on Fun, Fitness and Friendship while all the time striving to impart important life skills and values in the girls such as teamwork, commitment and respect for others.

The club field teams from U6 to Minor and have players representing the club on Laois Camogie teams at U14, U15, U16 and minor.

It was the youngest members, the Under 6s and under 8s who were treated not only to a new set of jerseys from Valeo Foods but also a substantial goody bag featuring all their well known products.

Head of marketing Shauna Kennedy attended the jersey presentation and said “We are delighted to be involved in promoting sport for young girls and the numbers present are very impressive, Valeo are proud to play our part”

PRO for Banríon Gaels, Rena Killeen, added “We are a club that is reflective of the community around us and we remain very grateful to all the support we get from many corners of the parish and beyond.
