Ballyroan WWTP to be upgraded – Fleming
Sean Fleming T.D., Minister of State in the Department of Finance has been informed by Irish Water that Ballyroan village is to get an upgrade to the existing Waste Water Treatment Plant at the existing site to provide for additional growth and capacity.
Minister Fleming welcomed this news as it is part of an overall announcement by Irish Water to upgrade 13 such facilities throughout the country. This project is under Irish Water’s Small Towns and Villages Growth Programme.
“This programme is focused on supporting upgrades where there are clear deficits meeting future capacity needs.

This is a good announcement for Ballyroan. The project will now go through detailed design and costings.
In welcoming the announcement I am also calling on Irish Water to move this project forward as quickly as possible.”
