Three Laois National Schools selected to participate in Creative Initiative
Sean Fleming T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Finance is pleased to confirm that 3 Laois National Schools have been selected to participate in the Creative Ireland Programme initiative – Creative Schools and Creative Clusters.
“The Creative Ireland Programme is a culture-based, all of Government initiative which places creativity at the centre of public policy, and is designed to promote individual, community and national wellbeing. Creative Schools and Creative Clusters are two of the key “in-school” initiatives developed and rolled out.
A Creative Cluster consists of between three and five schools collaborating on the design, implementation, evaluation and dissemination of an innovative arts and creative learning project which supports them to address a common issue or challenge. The scheme provides schools with access to creative people, skills and resources and supports them to draw on their own skills and experiences and those within their wider communities.
Each Creative Cluster will receive funding of €3,000 per school over a two year period to implement their project in the 2021-2023 school year.
I would like to congratulate Raheen and Ballyadams National Schools for their successful inclusion in the regional schools cluster which is being organised by the Laois Education Centre .

Also, congratulations to Timahoe National School who have been selected as a Creative School under this scheme.
I look froward to seeing the projects and the enjoyment and learning that will come from their inclusion in this special initiative.”
