Proposed Coolglass Windfarm sees big meeting in The Swan Community Hall

Last night we had our first public meeting regarding the proposed Coolglass Windfarm. We have set up a group on Facebook called Coolglass Windfarm & Areas Involved. Areas affected would be Coolglass, Crissard, Wolfhill, The Swan, Luggacurren, Timahoe, Spink and surrounding areas. The aim of the meeting was to get the word out and share concerns we have with others and also listen to other people’s views. Below is a summary of our meeting which was held last night in The Swan Community Hall on the 9th of February.

Summary

Last night was our first meeting. It was lovely to see so many communities come together. 

The aim was to educate ourselves, listen to everyone’s views, thoughts and concerns regarding the proposed windfarm. 

Eamon & Darragh shared valuable knowledge and information to us all. 

The floor was opened for questions, which were all addressed by Darragh, Eamon and our local representatives, which we were delighted to have in attendance. 

There will be a WhatsApp group set up in the coming days to share any future meeting dates and times.
