THE HARPS GAA: SPLIT THE POT:
We encourage club members, parents and supporters to sign up for a standing order for the weekly split the bucket draw. Last week’s winner won €460. Just €8 a month gives one entry a week, €16 a month gives two entries a week and €20 a month gives three entries a week. There is a lot of expenditure at present in improving the pitches and grounds in Cullahill and Durrow and all support is gratefully appreciated.

AGM 2021:
To all members of the Harps: With the ongoing health situation it is not possible to hold a Juvenile or Senior Club AGM. The matter will be reviewed by the end of current level 5 restrictions and it will be sought to hold the AGMs as soon as is safely possible. If anybody has any concerns they can contact a member of either committee. Joe Deegan & Brian Farrell.
JUVENILE PLAYERS RETURN:
With juvenile teams back on the pitch can all parents/guardians please register players on www.foireann.ie Players must be registered and covid questionnaire completed and submitted before the player takes part in a training session. The Harps club will be asking all players and adults to comply with public health guidelines when attending training sessions
NURSERY:
The Harps juvenile club are delighted to welcome players back to non contact training. All existing and new players welcome with under 7s (nursery) hurling starting at 7pm Tuesday in the juvenile pitch in Durrow and 8s,9s,10s and 11s at 6.30pm Tuesday in durrow pitch. All new players and adult help welcome!

CUL CAMPS:
The Harps will host two cul camps in summer 2021. The first session will be 12th to 16th July for hurling and camogie. The second session will be 16th to 20th August for hurling/camogie/football. Camps can be booked online from now and number limits do not apply.
THE HARPS GAA:
Congratulations to Paudge Phelan, Cullohill on winning €3,000 in the second draw of the Laois GAA All County Draw. He got the ticket through the Harps GAA club. There are still two more draws to be held on the first Friday in June and July. Hopefully more local winners!

ALONE manage a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Professional staff are available to answer queries and give advice and reassurance where necessary. The support line is open seven days a week, 8am – 8pm, by calling 0818 222 024.

DURROW COMMUNITY SATURDAY MARKET:
Durrow Community Market continues on Saturdays from 9am to 12 noon on the Kilkenny Road beside the church. Social Distancing will be in practice and please adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines!

The Woodenbridge Community Alert are the local authorised Personal Alarm (Senior Alert Scheme) suppliers for the Durrow, Cullohill, Ballacolla and Rathdowney areas. The new programme states that (1) eligible persons (65 years and over) no longer have to be living alone; and (2) there will be free monitoring of alarm service for one year for all new participants since November 1st 2017.
