DURROW COMMUNITY COUNCIL: Durrow Community Council will hold the Annual Senior Citizens Party in The Castle Arms Hotel on Saturday the 4th of March at 2pm. The invites will be going out over the next few weeks – but if anyone who does not get one but wishes to attend, please get in touch with Ethel on (087) 0665752.
DISRUPTION TO MASS SERVICES IN DURROW CHURCH: Due to plumbing work being done in the Church in Durrow, this Saturday night’s Mass is cancelled. This Sunday Mass is being held in Cullohill Church at 12 noon. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Mass This Saturday night in Cullohill is at 7pm. Mass during the week in Durrow will be held in the Parish Office at 8.50am each weekday morning.
DURROW DARKNESS INTO LIGHT WALK 2023: We are delighted that Durrow is now an official venue for the Darkness into Light Walk 2023. The walk will be taking place on Saturday 6th May at 4.15am. Please follow our Facebook page (search “Durrow Darkness into Light”) for all updates in relation to the event, looking forward to seeing everyone nice and early on 6th May!

ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE 2023 IN DURROW: It has been proposed to run the Durrow St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Friday 17th March at 1pm. This is our first parade since Covid and we want to make it the best one yet but we need all your help to make this the best St Patrick’s Day parade Durrow has ever seen. We need volunteers, floats, fun, music, dance, gaelic games and we need the full community to assist. CULLOHILL COMMUNITY CENTRE – PROGRESSIVE 25 CARD GAME – NEW EARLIER START TIME OF 8PM: Progressive 25 Card Game continues every Sunday night in Cullohill Community Centre at 8pm and all are most welcome. Winners on Sunday 22nd January 2023 were: First – Dick Brennan and Michael Kells; Joint Second – Padraig and Noreen Ryan, John and Kitty Farrell, Pa Maher and John Dollard, Jim and Anne Mahoney, Johnny Kelly and Martin Mahoney. The Raffle Winners on the night were: Paddy Dunphy and Noreen Ryan.
CULLOHILL COMMUNITY CENTRE: Annual Auction – Our auction is planned for Sunday, February 19th. Committee members will be in contact with households over the next number of weeks. All support is greatly appreciated.
Membership: Currently committee members are visiting local households looking for support / donation following their recent AGM. The Centre continues to be an excellent facility in The Village with all contributions greatly appreciated.

CULLOHILL HANDBALL CLUB: A great day in Cork for Cullohill girls at the She’s Ace Tournament. After Niamh Dunne’s great showing in the Ladies Singles it was the turn of the Brophy sisters – Orla played great handball to get to the final of the 15 and under final but was up again against Carmel Kelleher from Cork who got the better of Orla on the day. Success was to finally come when Aoife Brophy was the star of the day when she won out the Ladies B final after a fantastic win over Amber Nolan from Clare. Another great showing from our Cullohill Girls – well done to all!
