Clonaslee to get new Pedestrian Crossing

Commencement of Safety Measures in Clonaslee

Independent TD for Laois/Offaly, Deputy Carol Nolan has welcomed the commencement of work on a pedestrian crossing in Clonaslee village and said that she is delighted to see the work taking place following her ongoing representations on behalf of the people of Clonaslee who expressed serious concerns about speeding traffic coming into the village and the need for safety measures at An Scoil where there are many young families now residing. Deputy Nolan went on to say that the pedestrian crossing will help to ensure the safety of all, particularly young children and elderly people in the village and thanked Laois County Council for agreeing to carry out the work in the interests of safety.
