End of Ramadan later this week will be celebrated by Laois Muslims
The Islamic community in Laois will celebrate this coming Thursday after 30 days of fasting in Ramadan.
“Eid is a joyous and unique thanksgiving occasion which Muslims celebrate all over the world. Times like Eid for us, the Muslims of Ireland, are special as they bring together in celebration our diverse and vibrant range of communities living in the country.”
“For the last 30 days, Muslims in Ireland just like Muslims around the world, have been fasting for around 17 hours each day. These days revitalised us with the true spirit of gratitude, steadfastness and patience, which are all culminations of everyday lessons in life.”
