We are excited to announce that we are celebrating our 50th anniversary by having a Black Tie Dinner Dance at the Midlands Park Hotel Portarlaoise, on Friday February 16 at 6.30pm. Drinks reception, followed by a 3 course meal and ending the night with live music by the Electrix.

A big well done to Portarlington girl Alanna Fitzpatrick & her Ireland teammates who won against Australia in the Rugby in Perth recently.
Deepest Sympathy to the family of Ger Connolly, Bracknagh who passed away on Thursday January 25. Former Fianna Fail TD, Laois/Offaly. Ger was predeceased by his loving wife Marie, daughter in law Roisin & baby granddaughter Catherine. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Caitriona, sons John, Stephen & Ger jnr, his 9 grandchildren, extended family, neighbours & friends. Funeral took place on Sunday January 28 at St Brochan’s Church Bracknagh. May Ger rest in Peace.

Cardiac Screening-O’Dempsey’s GFC is proud to host a Cardiac Screening Service in collaboration with ‘Healthy Heart, Healthy Lives’. The Service will provide those who avail of it with information in order to *identify and reduce potential future incidents of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome* (SADS). It is *OPEN* to all community members aged 14-40, regardless of gender, or whether you are an O’Dempsey’s GFC member. It takes place on Saturday February 10.
