SUMMER CAMP

PORT MEN’S SHED
Well done to 87 year old Michael Dempsey, along with his colleagues at Portarlington Men’s shed for building and donating squirrel feeders and bird nest boxes to the Derryounce project. Wonderful support.
DERRYOUNCE EXPERIENCE
Portarlington Community Development Association (PCDA) have commenced the consultation process for a 10 year plan for Derryounce Lakes and Trails. Link to Survey below. Members of the community are welcome to get involved in the process by providing ideas and suggestions on the future development of Derryounce. Summer Stars-It is Summer Stars time again make sure to pop into the Library to register the children and keep them reading throughout the summer!
Family Fun Craft Table-Our parent and child craft table will be up and running in Portarlington Library on Wednesday 2nd August , 10am -1pm (or while stocks last) Pop in and have some fun making some lovely flower crafts together. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Summer Treasure Hunt-Pop in to Portarlington Library throughout the month of August and take part in our Summer Treasure Hunt. Solve the puzzle and win a small prize.

SYMPATHY
Deepest Sympathy to the family of Kathleen Fahy (nee Ray), Arlington Estate & formerly Bolton, England, who passed away on Thursday July 20. Kathleen was predeceased by her loving husband Jim. She will be sadly missed by her family Jan (Broughan), Marie & Sean, brother Michael, sister Anne, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours & friends. Kathleen’s funeral Mass took place on Sunday July 23 at St Michael’s Church, Portarlington, with burial in St Michael’s Cemetery. May Kathleen’s gentle soul rest in Peace.
