PORT MEN’S SHED
Well done to 87 year old Michael Dempsey, along with his colleagues at Portarlington Men’s shed for building and donating squirrel feeders and bird nest boxes to the Derryounce project. Wonderful support.
Portarlington Community Development Association (PCDA) have commenced the consultation process for a 10 year plan for Derryounce Lakes and Trails. Link to Survey below. Summer Stars-It is Summer Stars time again make sure to pop into the Library to register the children and keep them reading throughout the summer!

Deepest Sympathy to the family of Kathleen Fahy (nee Ray), Arlington Estate & formerly Bolton, England, who passed away on Thursday July 20. Kathleen was predeceased by her loving husband Jim. She will be sadly missed by her family Jan (Broughan), Marie & Sean, brother Michael, sister Anne, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours & friends. Kathleen’s funeral Mass took place on Sunday July 23 at St Michael’s Church, Portarlington, with burial in St Michael’s Cemetery. May Kathleen’s gentle soul rest in Peace.

LOTTO-Laois Clubs combined Lotto draw takes place as usual, every Tuesday night. Next week’s Jackpot is €8,200. Tickets can be bought from club members or online via www.play.clubforce.com.
Bingo at Port GAA Centre every Tuesday night at 8pm. Over €3,000 in prize money to be won. Free parking and wheelchair accessible.
