CROAGH PATRICK
On behalf of the committee of Port Meals on Wheels we would like to give a big thank you to the Burbage family and all who took part in the annual climb to Croagh Patrick. This brilliant fundraiser is happening this past 12 years with all donations going to different charities. The Port Meals on Wheels were so grateful to be picked this year. Thanks to all who donated & were involved in any way.
As you know the meals on wheels are running in Portarlington over 50 years. Last year we cooked & delivered over 10,000 meals. Thank you again to the Public for your continued support to the Service. A total sum of €5,515 raised.

DERRYOUNCE EXPERIENCE
Portarlington Community Development Association (PCDA) have commenced the consultation process for a 10 year plan for Derryounce Lakes and Trails. Link to Survey below. Members of the community are welcome to get involved in the process by providing ideas and suggestions on the future development of Derryounce. SYMPATHY
On Tuesday July 18 the sad news came through to Portarlington, as we heard of the sad death of Jonathan McCowen who had passed away in Brisbane. Jonathan was predeceased by his parents John & Marie, Station road. He will be so sadly missed by his beloved wife Sherie, his darling daughters Darcey & Riley, sister Louise (Galway), brothers Paul (Naas) & Mark (Poland), his extended family & many many friends at home & abroad. Jonathan’s funeral will take place at Our Lady of Graces Catholic Church, Carina on Tuesday August 1, commencing at 11am followed by burial at Mt Gravatt Cemetery. The funeral service will be live streamed. Link to follow. May Jonathan’s gentle soul rest in Peace.

Deepest Sympathy to the family & friends of Eoin Fitzpatrick & his son Dylan, Portlaoise who were killed in an accident in Turkey. Eoin worked here locally at Portarlington Autoparts. May Eoin & Dylan rest in Peace.

PORT GAA NEWS
LOTTO-Laois Clubs combined Lotto draw takes place as usual, every Tuesday night. Next week’s Jackpot is €7,800. Tickets can be bought from club members or online via www.play.clubforce.com.
BINGO
Bingo at Port GAA Centre every Tuesday night at 8pm. Over €3,000 in prize money to be won. Free parking and wheelchair accessible.
