SENIORS BINGO
The Senior’s bingo at the Portarlington Social Services will finish for the Summer from tomorrow Wednesday July 5. We wish all our wonderful senior’s a happy & healthy Summer & we will see them all again in September.
CROAGH PATRICK
Pat Burbages group will once again climb Croagh Patrick on Saturday July 8. Proceeds this year to Port Meals on Wheels. WELL DONE NICOLE
The wonderful Nicole goes from strength to strength. Nicole Turner has been chosen to represent Team Ireland at this summer’s Para Swimming Championship, which will take place in Manchester. Nicole hopes to make it to her third Paralympic games this year. Joining Nicole on the Irish Team are her fellow Paralympians Ellen Keane, Róisín Ní Riain & Barry McClements. Derbhaile Brady will make her major championship debut for Ireland.

Manchester will play host to the 11th edition of the Para Swimming World Championships from July 31 to August 6 Best of luck to all taking place.
SYMPATHY
Deepest Sympathy to the family of Gerard (Gerry) Conway, Avondale Est who passed away on Friday June 23. Gerry will be sadly missed by his loving wife Shirley, sons John, Malachy, Alleyn & Ivan, daughter Laura, son in law Paul, daughter in laws Sinead & Roisin, grandchildren Oscar, Adam & Cate, sister Angela (Conroy), niece Michelle (Shortall), nephew Ian (Conroy), extended family, neighbours & a large circle of friends. Funeral for Gerry took place on Wednesday June 28. Gerry was widely known all over, for his years of dedication to Comhaltas Ceoltóirí, with his wife Shirley. May Gerry rest in Peace.

LOTTO-Laois Clubs combined Lotto draw takes place as usual, every Tuesday night. Next week’s Jackpot is €7,400. Tickets can be bought from club members or online via www.play.clubforce.com.
