RACHEL WINS GOLD
Rachel Lawless from Portarlington boxed in the Elite Eindhoven Box Cup. She boxed Denmark on Saturday May 27, winning bronze, then changed from bronze to silver on Sunday May 28, by beating Germany, and going on to beat Belguim to win the Gold. Proudly representing Portlaoise B.C, the Defence forces & Ireland.

Deepest Sympathy to the family of Margaret (Peggy) Murphy (nee Kennedy), Annamoe Portarlington & formerly Gracefield, who passed away on Saturday May 27 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Peggy was predeceased by her loving husband Mick. She will be sadly missed by her sons Michael & Thomas, daughters Marion & Fiona, sister Rose (Nolan), brothers Paddy & Edward, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours & friends. Funeral took place on Tuesday May 30. May Peggy’s gentle soul rest in Peace.
