PORT MEALS ON WHEELS
The 52nd AGM of Portarlington Social Services/Meals on Wheels took place recently. The committee advised that in 2022 there were 10,284 meals cooked and delivered. It cost over €85,000 to run the service. Without the help of the HSE funding & all the generous donations from the public, the service could not continue. Officers Elected-Chairperson-Rory Whelan. Portarlington Lourdes group will travel to Lourdes on August 2 & will return on August 9. Seven nights full board at the Hotel Solitude at a cost of €995 per person sharing.
