Kind host families sought for Spanish students for the month of July.

Fundraiser in Colaiste Iosagain on April 15 at 7pm. Showing rare footage of Portarlington from almost 100 years ago from the Ronnie Mathews collection. There’ll also be arts, crafts and music on display and cakes/refreshments.


Solas Eco Garden Centre Portarlington are holding their next Car Boot Sale on Sunday April 23. Stall Holders can arrive at 8am. Sale opens to the Public at 10am. Closes at 2.30pm. Bring your own table. Maximum no of Stalls – 70. Not Permitted: Large Vans, or the Sale of Power Tools. Size allocated to each Stall: 2.3m Wide x 6.5m Long. Deepest Sympathy to the family of Patrick J Duffy, Ballybrittas who passed away on Wednesday March 29. Patrick was predeceased by his parents Patrick & Mary, sisters Nancy (Whelehan) & Moira Donoher. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Willie, Frank, Louis, Rich & Peader, sister Bridie (Luttrell), extended family, neighbours & friends. Funeral took place at the Sacret Heart Church, Rath, with burial in St John’s cemetery Killenard. May Patrick rest in Peace.


Deepest Sympathy to the family of Enda Molloy, Ballymorris Manor & formerly Rhode, Co Offaly, who passed away suddenly on Friday March 31. Enda was predeceased by his father Carthage. He will be sadly missed by his mother Eilish, brother Paul, sisters Yvonne & Miriam, extended family, neighbours & friends. May Enda rest in Peace.
