THANKS

The committee at Portarlington Meals on Wheels would like to thank everyone who supported their recent collection at Daniels Centra Portarlington. A big thanks to Dermot & staff at Centra for allowing us to collect. Thanks to everyone who donated, most generous. A big shout out to our wonderful collectors. Without all the help and generosity we get, we could not continue with our Service.

Also, a big thanks to McLoughlins Supervalu Portarlington & Lily O’Brien’s Newbridge who kindly donated Easter eggs for all our meal recipients. They were very grateful for this kind gesture.

Researchers at NUI Galway are looking for parents of children with Autism spectrum disorder, aged 3-17 years of age living in Ireland. We are investigating the service provision that children with autism are receiving since the Progressing Disability Services was introduced in Ireland. We are interested in evaluating the level of services families are currently receiving. We also want to hear from parents who are not receiving any service. We are evaluating parental satisfaction with the current service and measuring how a lack of services contributes to parental stress and child well-being. The findings from this study will be used to advocate for service provision. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete this online survey. If you would like to take part in this study, please contact Helen Cahill email: h.cahill6@nuigalway.ie.
