Happy Snappers Camera Club are returning on March 29 to the Fisherman’s in Fisherstown, Ballybrittas. The Club hope to see you all for their first indoor meeting in over two years. The theme for March is ‘New Life’. So, get snapping and bring your photos to share on the night.

The Gracefield Gaa Club have started their Annual clothing collection, and will continue for the following 3 Saturdays from 10am to 12pm. The Happy Hearts Active Retirement club has returned. Meeting in the Portarlington Community Centre every Thursday from 1.45pm to 3.45pm. All active people over 55 welcome.

If you are 65 you can qualify for a Senior Alert Alarm. Two people in the same house can get approval. There is no installation charge. You will get the equipment and the first year’s monitoring free. After that it will cost €65 a year. However, if there is no suitable landline available and a mobile signal is used, a fee will be charged annually for Sim Credit. Deepest Sympathy to the family of Patrick (Paddy) Whelan, Corrig Portarlington & formerly Kingswood, Dublin who passed away on Saturday February 26 at his home. Patrick was predeceased by his loving daughter Debbie & adored grandsons Trevor & Killian. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Bridget, daughters Katrina & Caroline, sons in law Troy & Steven, grandchildren Rebecca, Adam, Bradley & Ben, sister Joan, extended family & friends. Funeral Mass took place on Thursday March 3 at St Michael’s Church Portarlington, with funeral after at Newlands Cross Cemetery. May Patrick’s gentle soul rest in Peace.
