The Club are now getting ready to have all BRGers return to training. It’s been waaaayyyyy too long. SYMPATHY
It was with deep sadness that the people of Portarlington heard of the sudden death on March 31 of Pauline McGee (nee Maher), Corrig Lodge Portarlington. Pauline was the youngest in the family of the late Paddy & Kitty Maher, Bracklone St. She will be sadly missed by her loving daughters Sarah & her partner John, Rebecca and her partner Niall, her grandchildren Robin, Piper & Ivy, brothers Pat, Benny & Ger, sisters Marian & Teresa, extended family & friends. Also, her colleagues at Oak House Portarlington. Funeral took place on Thursday April 8. May Pauline rest in Peace.

KEVIN BELL TRUST
Colin & Eithne Bell set up this trust when their own son died in America. The Kevin Bell repatriation fund was set up to help Irish families whose loved ones have died in other Countries. This fund will help bring the body of your loved one back to Ireland.
Most of you may know at this stage that this trust helped the McGee/Maher family to get their beloved Pauline home from abroad.

Deepest Sympathy to the family of Jim Hyland, the Sawmills Ballybrittas & formerly Geadhill Co. Offaly, who passed away on Saturday April 3. Jim was predeceased by his loving daughter Attracta. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Bridie, daughters Deirdre, Finnuala, Anita &Thelma, brother Ned, sister Quennie, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours & friends. Funeral took place on Monday April 5 at St Paul’s Church Emo, with burial after in the New Cemetery Emo. May Jim rest in Peace.

Linda will be sadly missed by her heartbroken parents Johnny & Annette, her brother Keith & his partner Jean, nieces Abbie & Amber, nephew Luke, aunts, uncles, extended family, neighbours & friends. Funeral took place on Friday April 8 in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Walsh Island, with burial after in the adjoining Cemetery. May Linda rest in Peace.

Funeral took place on Friday April 9 at St Michael’s Church Portarlington, with burial after in St Michael’s Cemetery. May Tom rest in Peace.
CEMETERY FUNDRAISER
Due to the current Covid19 restrictions the graveyard Committee are unable to carry out their normal fundraising efforts. We have therefore set up a Go Fund me page here to raise vital funds for the maintenance and upkeep of St. Michael’s Cemetary, Portarlington. The cemetery maintenance is kept on a voluntary basis by a number of dedicated members. Money is needed for to purchase a new mower, also for plants & to maintain the skips placed in the cemetery which have to be emptied 3 times a year at least. Any donation you can make would be greatly appreciated to keep our beautiful Cemetery maintained. Thank you. . You can also drop your donation in an envelope to Tommy Earley or Anthony Earley.

Masses-No public Masses allowed. All Masses will be online. Weekdays-10am. Saturday-6.15pm. Sunday 9am & 12.15pm. Churches will remain open for private prayer.
