MEALS ON WHEELS
On behalf of Portarlington Meals on Wheels we would like to thank the Committee at The Heritage Golf Resort Killenard for their kind donation of €2,005 from their recent golf classic. Thanks to all who played that weekend and all who donated. You can be assured that all money we receive goes to the continued running of the Service. Up to 10,000 meals were cooked and delivered last year, and we are on track to do the same this year. Many thanks once again to the committee.
TABLE QUIZ
Portarlington Lions Clubs are holding a Table Quiz in The Barrow Lodge, French church Street on next Friday October 29. Brush off the old cross words and dictionaries and share the knowledge at a fun evening with friends. Table of 4 is €40. Your support as always is appreciated.

MakePort have a fantastic workshop for this Mid-Term break for all those budding artists out there. David Butler is a local children’s book artist & comic book artist & book illustrator. David is hosting a comic workshop this midterm break at the Makerspace on Saturday October 30, from 12pm – 3pm. Portarlington Credit Union have a fantastic opportunity for any budding Photographers out there. It’s the time of year again when the Port CU start their Calendar for next year! SYMPATHY
Deepest Sympathy to the family & friends of Eileen (B.B) Cummins (nee Clarke), Marian Hill, who passed away on Wednesday October 20 at the Regional Hospital Tullamore. B.B was predeceased by her loving husband John Joe. Deeply regretted by her brothers Freddy & Eddie, sister Margaret, extended family, friends & all her wonderful carers. Funeral Mass took place on Saturday October 23 at St Michael’s Church Portarlington, with burial after in St Michael’s Cemetery. May BBs gentle soul rest in Peace.
